The land based Santa Cruz County Fair and Rodeo Assn is located in Sonoita Fairgrounds, Arizona, 3142 S. Highway 83, P.O. Box 85, 85637.
The Santa Cruz County Fair and Rodeo is almost 90 years old, with a long history and experience in the field of horse races, shows and rodeo.
Members pay $10 per year and families $25 per year. This fee helps the owners to operate the Rodeo and Horse Races. Everyone can become a member.
Visitors will have to pay a $3 entrance fee meanwhile children under 12 are free of charge. Simulcast wagering is open to anyone. Parking is free, and dining, drinks can be bought on the territory.
Horse Shows are held annually, offering visitors a four day show. In the first days heading, heeling, calf roping, breakaway roping and working cow classes are on the list, and on the last couple of days youth qualify above cattle division.
A Labor Day Rodeo is held annually, with a $8 entrance fee for adults, children between 5-12 years pay $5, and children under 4 are free to enter.
A long list of events will be expecting the visitor, as the Ladies Barrel Racing and Rough Stock, timed events, horse races, team roping and others. The rodeo will be closed with a traditional rodeo dance with live country and rock music.
