Mobile Greyhound Park offers greyhound and thoroughbred racing. The founder of this park Maurice “Casey” Downing wanted to create a park where visitors can get their minds off their every day worries and have lots of fun. The 25 years-old park truly is a tourist attraction, located in Mobile County, 5465 Hwy. 90 W., Alabama 36619.
Open Hours: Matinee M,W,Sat. 1:00pm, Evening M-Sat. 7:30pm and Sunday 11:00 (Simulcast Only).
Proper dressing is required, and those dressed improperly will not have access to the park. The minimal age requirement is 18. Admission is free.
Valet parking is $2.
Wagering options are: Win, Place, Show, Daily Double, Quiniela, Trifecta, and Twin Trifecta. A Greyhound Grading option will help customers to make their wagering easier. The racing secretary will grade the greyhounds with six different letters: A, B, C, D, E and M (maiden). The winner of a race is advanced in grading until reaches grade A. The greyhound’s grade will as well be lowered if fails to be the 1st, 2nd, 3rd in three consecutive races, or in other cases, when performs under expectations.
